Not all blue dials are equal or even similar. Look at the difference from the somewhat sunburst blue dial of the SkyD with the more gradient blue/grey dial of the 5712/1A.

The difficulty of comparing watches is to have them side by side and in similar lighting to be able to see the nuances as photos could be touched up, lack of color balance, white balance, saturation, etc...

Honestly, out of these 2, I prefer the SkyD blue dial in color. What do you guys think?

I do like SKYD blue better. PP looks greenish. It would be interessting to see including Vacherons Overseas in blue.

I don't own a VC OS 4500V blue dial but hope to add one in the future. I will make another post and comparison tomorrow with my FPJ Chronomรจtre Bleu which has an amazing dial and probably voted within the top 3 blue dials at the moment ๐Ÿ‘

I do prefer the blue shade of the Rolex but I much prefer the Patek overall here...and to now contradict myself, I donโ€™t think the blue of the Rolex would work on the patek...

So if I prefer the patek I guess I prefer itโ€™s blue!

I know it is an apples to oranges type of comparison as these 2 are not very similar in functionality, size, nor purpose but we can at least see the different hues of blue ๐Ÿ˜‰
