Mikey11 shares his 30-year journey with a Rolex, a gift from his late mother, symbolizing 3,000 days of sobriety. A deeply personal watch story.

This watch has been my constant companion through 30 years of my life as of August 2016. Purchased for me when I was 17, it has seen a lot of my life unfold. It was there when I was abusing drugs and alcohol for 20 years. It then was with me through the last 8 years of my sobriety.
Tomorrow also marks 3000 days of being clean and sober.
This watch means more to me than any other watch I own because this is the only one I've had new since day 1. Original owner.
My mom who passed away 10 years ago was the one who took me to pick it and pay for it. I think of her every time I wear it.
Wish she was here to appreciate another 10 years of my owning and enjoying it.

Wow! What a history -

it can't get finer than that. You have been living good life for 3,000 days and it's great to have such a watch on that journey. One day, write up the story, and pass the watch to the next owner with the background. Hopefully not soon! Best Kari
