Fernando shares his exhilarating experience at the Rolex Passion Meeting in Hong Kong, an event that brought together vintage Rolex and Tudor enthusiasts from around the globe. His pictorial report captures the vibrant atmosphere and the rare timepieces on display, offering readers a glimpse into this significant gathering organized by Philipp Stahl.
Lucky me! The Rolex Passion Meeting organized by Mr. Philipp Stahl came to HK for the very first time on the 29th. May 2012. The date coincided with the 59th. anniversary of the Everest climb by Sir Edmaund Hillary & Tenzing Norgay. Their sons Peter & Jamling were also present and gave a speech highlighting their fathers' accomplishments. Collectors and fans of vintage Rolex and Tudor from all corners of the world descended on to the venue to partake in what can only be described as a vintage Rolex 'orgy.'
My thanks to Philipp for his kind invitation and hospitality - I will never look at vintage in quite the same way again!
On to the fuzzy pics. On hindsight, I should have taken shots of some of the phenomenal pieces I saw that were on people's wrist but with so much going on, I was too busy, like a little boy in a candy store.

Thanks for looking.
Cheers
Fernando
It is noticeable, you don't write in the same way anymore... There is a fever, an intensity in your words, something which means a lot. Best, Nicolas
the temptation is almost too much to bear! I will take my time though. I'm afraid what I really like now can only be found in a collection such as yours. Do you want me to adopt one of your big crowns? Cheers fernando

Dear Fernando, You have given us a chance to participate (though only virtually) for that we thank you. Bravo to Philipp Stahl and thank you to all the collectors around the world that make and drive this passion among us. Best regards Bill
some of the vibes online Bill but I'm sure you would have been in your element in one of these meets. Chatting with other enthusiasts and hearing and seeing the pieces and the stories that goes with them, made for a very interesting evening. Best fernando
..and thats a nice looking Milgauss in the display. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing the event with us. Cheers Tony
