Having hunted a 1019 for, probably, 5 years. About two months ago i was lucky enough to find my target. Within a week or so of having the watch, I did something totally stupid. I remember once when Dr. Strong told me he had done the same thing...and i thought to myself..."hum, I will never do that!"

Having hunted a 1019 for, probably, 5 years. About two months ago i was lucky enough to find my target. Within a week or so of having the watch, I did something totally stupid. I remember once when Dr. Strong told me he had done the same thing...and i thought to myself..."hum, I will never do that!"

Well I did...i pulled the crown clean out of the case. Clean out.....bang. I couldn't believe it. I took it to my watchmaker who kindly examined it and told me that nothing had actually broken and that all that needed was some tightening!! That was a relief...he did the job immediately and it took 5 mins or so.....

...and so, slightly embarrassed about my effort...i now reveal the watch is back....and since I am in the mood for confession, i also confess to having weird slippers.

I love the 1019!

Powerful and discreet at the same time. As for your slippers, I guess they are more comfy than pleasing to the eye ;-) I should know as I have something similar... And the crow pulling thing.. Been there, done that on a Nautilus. It came off so fast that it slippe out of my hand. At the time I was in an airplane (wanting to adjust the watch to another timezone) so it took quite a few "excuse me" and "could you kindly lift your feet, please?" to locate that crown and stem under the seats. Thanks
