Blesk's original post captures a significant moment for tennis fans and watch enthusiasts alike: Grigor Dimitrov's victory at the Brisbane International 2024. More than just a congratulatory note, Blesk's keen eye immediately spots what appears to be an unfamiliar Richard Mille model on Dimitrov's wrist, sparking a community-wide inquiry into its identity and broader discussion about the brand's market position.

It is another brand called Bianchet.

Great final, the watch - not so sure ... With advances in manufacturing a lot can be done at a more accessible price point. But who did it first does matter.

If who did it first mattered, nobody should be buying Rolex watches.

That is quite the statement ...

In any case - Rolex was the first to produce dive watches on a large scale. There are plenty of sub look-a-likes that one can buy at fraction of the price. Not saying that they should not exist but they are not real alternatives. Richard Mille didn't invent the tonneau case, or the tourbillion or sapphire cases etc. Doesn't matter. It was the first brand to create a whole market that didn't exist before. Ultimately you should buy what you like. But the value in watches, as is the case with most

I think the new category that RM created wasn’t just tonneau cases and exotic materials, but high quality sports watches beyond diving. They brought action sports into haute horlogerie with a vibrancy that didn’t exist before. Happy to be proven wrong!
