After our move to Moscow watch time was at a premium. So even though we have lived there for over three months I have not yet managed to go to a single watch store. And most certainly found no opportunity yet to find some of the funky Soviet era watches I was looking forward to.

So it’s back to my produced prior to 1974 Raketa, I guess. One of those fully in-house wonders (the manufacturer has been in business since 1721) - everything including the crystal, got produced in-house.

So a sunny shot, standing in till I manage to explore the world of Soviet and Russian watchmaking in more depth 😊

The first addition will seemingly come from much closer to your home than mine πŸ˜‰ Should be with me in two weeks 🀞🏻 But will make sure to post an update of the journey 😊

Work is anything but smooth sailing but I wanted a learning curve, which I am certainly getting πŸ˜‰ I guess be careful what you wish for. πŸ˜‚ On the home front it’s supposedly normal that the first six months here are challenging. But I have got the most supportive wife imaginable, fortunately πŸ™πŸ» But will certainly take you along on my horological journey 😊
