AndrewD celebrates the second anniversary of the PuristSPro watchprosite platform, reflecting on its growth and the vibrant community it has fostered. His post acknowledges the vision of Thomas Mao, the dedication of the management team and moderators, and the invaluable contributions of its members, solidifying PuristSPro's status as a premier horological resource.
Dear Purists,
It has been two years since the PuristSPro watchprosite platform went live.
Click here for the first tentative toe in the water post.
There was a period of overlap when ThePuristS Network 54 platform was still used, but December 3, 2006 is basically the birthday of our current site. There are many old faces still posting and many newer members that have joined us since then.
I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank Thomas Mao for his vision in starting all this, the management team and moderators for their tireless contribution, and of course all the members who make up this great community.
PuristS is the best resource for horological information on the Internet and a great place to be.
Happy birthday to us!
Andrew

Thanks, Andrew for such a post. I'm very happy to belong to this Familly, as the Ambience, the Knowledge, and the Education of our members are the TOP of Virtual World. May we make it less Virtual and more Real? So, Happy Birthday to PPRO, and to all the Members of the Family! Best. Hi Nicolas, I know there are GTG’s all over the world but I think it would be amazing to try and get a large number of us together in one place. It could coincide with one of the major watch events and with 6-12 months notice even those with busy schedules could perhaps make time. Imagine the party. The Champagne is on you, my friend! A
A super mega Purist GTG... This is a Hell of an organisation, but it's worth it, indeed! This year, we had a very nice GTG in London, and it made me think to re organise something a bit longer, as I could only attend, stupidlly, 5 hours... We should think about it, and launch this marvellous idea... Best, Andrew, once again you are brilliant! Nicolas This message has been edited by amanico on 2008-12-03 07:19:19
Nicolas, could we have name badges with our id's on as well as names so that we know who we're talking too. it would be just like a school reunion with one exception.. we'll want to be there and want to talk to everyone :) great idea in the centre of the world. Paris best Graham
ok, only a few degrees out :)
Seriously this would be one hell of a gathering...
