Thanks to a good friend I had the privilege to see one of the best private collections I've ever seen. Many of the cars I had only seen in pictures and to see them up close was a once in a life time experience and it allowed me to better understand them. Here are some pics from the afternoon. What y
The Radiomir 1940 reference 512 represents a specific iteration within the Radiomir 1940 series, distinguished by its balanced proportions and adherence to historical design cues. This model bridges the aesthetic gap between the wire-lug Radiomir and the more robust Luminor cases, offering a refined interpretation of the brand's heritage. It is designed to appeal to collectors who appreciate the transitional period in the brand's design evolution, focusing on a more understated presence compared to some of its larger counterparts.
This reference features a case crafted from polished stainless steel, measuring 42mm in diameter. It houses a manually wound mechanical movement, the P.9999 caliber, which provides a power reserve of 60 hours. The watch is fitted with a sapphire crystal, contributing to its durability and scratch resistance. The case design incorporates the distinctive cushion shape and integrated lugs characteristic of the 1940s Radiomir style, ensuring a cohesive and historically informed appearance.
For collectors, the Radiomir 1940 512 is notable for its wearable size and the inclusion of an in-house movement. Its design language is a direct homage to historical models, making it a point of interest for those seeking a piece that reflects the brand's origins without the larger dimensions often associated with other models. This reference offers a blend of historical accuracy and contemporary wearability, positioning it as a distinct option within the broader Radiomir collection.
Hi Salman, Thanks for sharing. Is that collection all belong to one owner only ? If yes it is indeed very impressive. Regards Jacky
I agree with you its very impressive, it took him years to build up this collection and it shows a great deal of passion, thought and refinement and for me what is impressive is the condition of all the cars, just pristine and very well taken care of. S

A guy i know used to work for the biggest Ferrari-freak in Belgium (the father in law of Jacky Ickx), he told me that he regularly had to take his cars out for a spin back in the nineties ... F40, Testarossa and god knows what else ... since the Formula One cars were not allowed on public roads he never got to try one
