Jocke - Bad Santa provides a practical guide to utilizing an affordable portable photo studio for watch photography. His step-by-step tutorial demonstrates how simple adjustments and common household items can significantly improve photo quality, making professional-looking watch shots accessible to enthusiasts.
Here I will show how you can use the chinese portable photo studio.
I set it up with a small power bank.
But that one was to weak so I have to use a bigger one. I put in the black background that comes with the studio.
So I will try to made a wrist shot.
))
This is not so good, all the leds will shows up at the crystal.
So I change the angle a bit and it will be a lot better. But there is some reflections and the dust shows up. So a cloth and a blower will fix that.
Then I folding a bakery paper and try to diffuse the light and the reflections.
Now it looks a lot better and you get how you should do to get a decent shot with a cheap camera.
Then I plug in my DSLR to get a little better quality.
And with some editing it will looks like this.
