(SANTA BARBARA, CA) – The final match of the USPA Piaget Silver Cup offered fans a thrilling afternoon of polo, as Lucchese came from behind to beat Mansour in the final chukker, winning by a score of 11 to 10. Mansour had been leading throughout the match, but thanks to some exceptional play by Santi Torres and Adolfo Cambiaso, Lucchese rallied from three goals back to emerge victorious in the final four minutes.

Piaget Hosts Polo Celebration at Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club

Piaget president of North America, Larry Boland, congratulated the winning Lucchese team and presented them with the coveted USPA Piaget Silver Cup, the oldest polo trophy awarded in the United States. Santi Torres received the MVP award and Best Playing Pony went to Adolfo Cambiaso's Delfina Diana.

 

Throughout the afternoon, Piaget hosted a VIP field side lounge for Santa Barbara's best and brightest to enjoy the polo action, as well as experience the full collection of Piaget Polo timepieces. Several Los Angeles notables also made the trip up the coast to join in the festivities. Among them, Decades co-owner, Cameron Silver, who sported an 18-carat rose gold Piaget Polo watch in honor of the occasion.

 

In addition to hosting the USPA Piaget Silver Cup, Piaget is currently the Official Timekeeper of Bridgehampton Polo. The firm will also host the upcoming Piaget Hamptons Cup in partnership with Nacho Figueras and the Robin Hood Foundation.
