Philippe Dufour's daughter Daniela is the next generation to carry on his watchmaking legacy. She has completed her first watch. Will the Dufour brand survive under her leadership?

Are there any notable or up and coming female watchmakers? Why aren’t there any black watchmakers? I’m sure we could all easily venture explanations for this. But actually doing a little search on Daniela, I found articles/interviews in which she points out the obvious about the conservative industry. I don’t want to start any sensitive discussion (or debate) here about the culture and industry, especially as I’d prefer to simply defer to statements by Daniela in the above session as well as oth
An episode you'll also find on youtube inner ' Dubai Watch Week - playlists' is imo also a good one to listen too. It's always a pleasure to listen to Max ... very informative and enjoyable. There is also one with Mr Biver ... and as much as I like and appreciate him ... after 5 min I stop listening ALWAYS ... Really bothers me why he's yelling all the time. So sad he can't explain it in a calm way cause I'm sure he has great things to say
2 links 5 and 9 videos and most are worth viewing www.youtube.com www.youtube.com
I think she should start making a different piece independent from her father , the dufours are asking more than half a mil chf for a new simplicity at the moment and her starting on that might not be great in the long run.. Highly likely she wouldn’t have an issue doing her own thing especially the amount of people willing to support her
We shall see what she decides to do - but she didn't make the decision to be a watchmaker lightly.
All posts about Dubai Watch Week are appropriate! I was going to put on the Max Busser story after I was able to watch it again - can you believe it? I got into that one late! I normally say I'm a huge fan - but how can a fan of Max be late to one of his sessions? Oops, my mistake, bad on my part!
