. . . for your correspondent began in the middle of the afternoon, when fellow Ventura County resident mrsnak swung by to pick me up for the drive down to Santa Monica.  Snak had a prior meeting with a record industry friend who resides a few blocks from the restaurant we were meeting at in Santa Monica, so we stopped there first.  It turned out that Snak's pal has two interesting clocks that were in need of attention, a Le Coultre  . . .

. . . and a rare Parkinson & Frodsham marine chronometer . . .

. . . which Snak dutifully accepted so that he could have a clockmaker inspect them.

Nice to have friends you can trust, and vice versa . . .

Daos and Anthony arrived early . . .

. . . and ordered cocktails and appetizers. Daos was wearing her LLD . . . . . . while Anthony was sporting his Bulgari.

I love this watch. Honestly, the love affair...

...with the LLD is burning brighter than ever. There's something about that lacquer dial and the color used for the indices that just hits my sweet spot! Daos

A killing watch, for sure. Totally agree with you.

Amusing...

...that at a "perpetual (calendar)" event you'd sport a time only. I have always liked the look of the LLD too, and always get a little tug when I see one on sales forums. Having only seen it once in person I wondered if I'd get bored with it for some reason.

It is her rebel side... That is why I love her so much. :)

Kisses, Vlad!

It was a very fun evening. I wish you could've joined in! The weather here is gorgeous, and we could go vintage hunting with Art, Snak and others! If only the Star Trek transporter beam would get invented already Daos!
