. . . for your correspondent began in the middle of the afternoon, when fellow Ventura County resident mrsnak swung by to pick me up for the drive down to Santa Monica.  Snak had a prior meeting with a record industry friend who resides a few blocks from the restaurant we were meeting at in Santa Monica, so we stopped there first.  It turned out that Snak's pal has two interesting clocks that were in need of attention, a Le Coultre  . . .

. . . and a rare Parkinson & Frodsham marine chronometer . . .

. . . which Snak dutifully accepted so that he could have a clockmaker inspect them.

Nice to have friends you can trust, and vice versa . . .

. . . into taking watchmaking lessons with him at the NAWCC chapter meetings in Santa Barbara . Steve was wearing a Gevril perpetual Wednesday evening . . . . . . while Bart was wearing his everyday watch, a Glashütte Original cal 100 Senator perpetual . . . . . . while his other half, Judy, was wearing their cal 39 limited edition Navigator perpetual. Bart's a kindred soul - another dyed-in-the-wool G O perpetual buff!

. . . deep in conversation. From left to right, mrsnak, Daos, rovermark, and cazalea. Presenting their watches - Daos' Longines and snak's left wrist Breitling . . . . . . plus Snak's right wrist wear, his G-Shock perpetual . . . . . . rovermark's Lange 1 . . . . . . and last but not least, cazalea's IWC perpetual . . . . . . plus his purchase earlier that afternoon, a Seiko Astron.

. . . with his Vacheron Overseas . . . . . . as did SDAWG with an AP ROO . . . . . . and his brother-in-law Kevin with a Breguet XXI . . . . . . but unfortunately, no photos of any of them were taken!

. . . SDAWG's better half, Anne, seen here next to Daos . . . . . . managed to come thru, along with a photo of her watch, a Franck Muller.

. . . and came ready for bear with three perpetuals, an IWC . . . . . . a Parmigiani . . . . . . and a UN. Daos managed to take snaps of his UN at the witching hour. How's that for watchmaking excellence - switchover precisely at midnight!
