Miranda's initial report on the Patek Philippe Twenty-4 Automatic International Launch offers a crucial look at a significant shift for the brand's ladies' collection. Her detailed overview and accompanying images provide essential context for understanding Patek Philippe's strategy to evolve a successful quartz line into a modern automatic offering, a move that sparked considerable discussion among collectors.

Launched in 1999 the Patek Philippe Twenty-4 was the first ladies watch in Steel. It was set with diamonds on the sides of the case which was inspired by the Gondolo collection.  It also featured 10 diamonds on the dial. The dial came in a variety of colours including grey, blue, white and black. There was a total of 0.45 carat of diamonds.
The grey dial version has become a cult classic. The Patek Philippe Twenty-4 has become a very successful watch and was the first ladies steel watch with diamonds.

The collection was further enhanced by the addition of gold models. One reason why the Twenty-4 has become so successful is its versatility in being usable throughout 24 hours, it looks just as elegant with a T-shirt and jeans as well as a cocktail dress.

Today in Milan, Patek Philippe have launched a new collection-the Twenty-4 automatic. The new model features a round case with an integrated bracelet. The bezel  is set with 160 diamonds with a totalling 0.75 carat. It comes in stainless steel and rose gold. It fulfils its name as being usable throughout the 24-hour period just as it illustrious forebear did.

The diamonds in the bezel are arranged in a very special way it is called the Dentelle style. You can see the original DNA is instilled deeply in this new model. What really excites is the addition of the automatic movement the calibre 324SC. Thierry Stern has claimed that this automatic movement is the most accurate the company produces.

The new model has a thoroughly modern 36 mm case. There are two dial colours there is an electric blue and a grey dial. There is also a chocolate brown dial in the rose gold model. There is also a very beautiful satin finished dial dial which looks exquisite in both the steel and gold model

The dial features Arabic numbers in the style of the pilot watch with Super luminova.

I expect the steel model especially with the blue dial and most probably the satin finished dial to be exceptionally sought after. Patek Philippe have done the impossible, they have taken an incredibly successful iconic model and actually improved on it. It is rare for a sequel to be as good as the original. In my opinion Patek Philippe have hit a homerun with this new model.

It is only natural as blue and grey dials come on steel models

The best sellers will be steel Twenty-4 Automatic watches. We already know that grey dial Twenty-4 quartz watch is the current best seller so it is likely that both grey and blue dial variants of the Twenty-4 Automatic watches also will become bestsellers. Regards, MTF
