GLau's post offers a captivating glimpse into Patek Philippe's Rare Handcrafts exhibition, showcasing the intricate artistry that defines haute horlogerie. His personal account, filled with 'OMG wow' moments, transports readers to the salon, highlighting the mesmerizing beauty of these unique pieces. This thread serves as an excellent resource for those interested in the pinnacle of watchmaking craftsmanship.

I attempted to take photos sequentially from 1, 2, 3 … so that you all can follow the track.  Unfortunately the watch sections were not lined up “logically” and I got confused due to mesmerization of the pieces.  I felt like I was dreaming as a child in a candy store and would not wake up 🤣

Due to some IT issues on my side with so many photos, I am creating several smaller threads.

Which piece(s) sings/sing to you so far.

More to come !

I particularly like the electric guitar marquetry. I don't play guitar but that watch, that work, even the reflection of Patek in the side of the guitar, love it. Would love to see these in person.

What an experience! Really amazing pieces 😍😍 I was particularly impressed by the series of Elipse with volcanoes in cloisonné and papillonné enamel with miniature painting, absolutely stunning pieces IRL, it is very difficult to show their real beauty in photo… The Worldtime MR with the world map and blue ocean is another gorgeous piece imho, what a dream!!!

I think my favorite from your photos is the jellyfish dome clock!

These are more art than watch. Thank you for sharing.

The one that took my breath away was the allegory of music. Can't imagine such fine work on such a small dial. And it's a minute repeater!!!! How apt for an allegory of music.
