I had a few hours to kill while waiting for a friend’s flight to arrive in Geneva so I decided to visit the Patek museum. The second floor was closed so admission was free. I visited the third and first floors. The third floor houses an impressive horological library and the desk of Henri Stern. The first floor houses the Collection of Patek wrist and pocket watches.

I snapped a few pictures before a lady sternly hushed at me telling me to refrain from taking photos.

If I will visit again I will definitely book a private guide as the iPads with the audio tour does not really make the collection justice. Also it is easy to get impression overload after seeing e.g. the fourth Star Caliber 2000. A curated personal tour probably will be more accessible.

With that said it is easily a recommended pastime if you have a couple of hours in Geneva.

I’ve been in Geneva but never went to the PP museum…

Can’t wait to have an excuse to travel back to Switzerland and finally visit it ! I’ll try to go during madame-no-pictures’ lunchtime )) Thx a lot for your little review !

The pictures well taken

U made a few. It must be sensitive for employers to say to visitors to keep photo cameras in the pocket while almost everybody have a phone steady. Maybe to have no museum at all, would be relaxing for them who do not want people make pictures.
