In full agreement! ;-) Hinged dust covers have a unique charm, in fact I'm glad they are also present in the Rare Handcraft production (namely, in Ref. 5089 and, most recently, Ref. 5189, both in G gold). Thanks for sharing! FabR

The hinged dust cover of Ref. 5089G-020 in wood marquetry, affording a private view of the iconic Caliber 240

Simple but equally exquisite.....interestingly, another big reason Ref. 5227 is soon going to be a classic among collectors is that it will be the last "old school" Calatrava to leave Patek's catalog! ;-) PS: Welcome to my forum!

We don't have a formal protocol or section for new members to introduce themselves, hence simply presenting some of your collection the way you have been doing is perfectly fine ;-)

Please feel free to keep sharing your beautiful pieces with us, and to contribute to our daily conversations across the various fora as you see fit! Hope you have a great time on WatchProSite! FabR
