Clueless_Collector shares an unexpected acquisition from a Tiffany's visit: the Patek Philippe Ref. 7234R-001. This post sparks a discussion on the versatility of this 'ladies' Pilot watch for men, its unique rose gold and brown dial combination, and the broader appeal of smaller case sizes.

Flagship store for jewelry and other stuff....we “paid” a visit to the Patek Philippe salon and found this 7234R-001.

And guess what, yes...paid 😂

However this is one of those rare situations where a ladies watch is also highly suitable for men...so why not?

Many reviews of this 2018 rose gold Pilot actually suggests it can be a men’s watch and I believe our fellow member sham1 is still waiting for his? PS: sham1, go to Wempe NYC, Raik is a nice guy and they have this in the store last week. PS again: I’m not affiliated with Wempe or Raik or Patek 🤪

The rose gold and brown dial works well together. Now it’s just waiting for an additional longer strap on the buckle side to come and we’re happily ever after.

It is her watch just to be clear and I’m sure I’ll have the opportunity to wind and set the time for her and maybe wear it once or twice.

The plastic will be off I guaranteed when it’s here.

Most watches are orders and waiting or waiting list. I kind of like this feeling. Thanks.

This should be the way for consumers.

I’ve gone back and forth on this watch (for myself) several times in the last year. Most recently last week with that watch sitting at Wempe (and earlier this year in the blue box too). My hesitation has been on the metal colour. Not being the same as the men’s watch, my eyes see more yellow than rose. I’m curious to see your pictures of this watch over time, and on different straps. It’s a unique piece, in has a very strong design relative to much of the rest of the PP catalogue. And this small
