Chicolini shares his Patek Philippe Ref. 5950A, a steel split-seconds chronograph he rarely wears but deeply appreciates. His post highlights the unique collector's dilemma of owning a highly coveted and technically impressive timepiece, prompting a community discussion on the balance between preservation and enjoyment.

I have never worn it and I’m not sure why. But every once in awhile I will take it out and stare at it and appreciate it all over again.

It’s quite thin for a split second chronograph and what I like best about it is that it’s a steel case . Hope you enjoy the quick pics. Just iPhone snaps so I’m sorry about the quality. Hope everyone is having a good week!

It is soooo elegant. I love the flat profile and perfect portions. The movement is the most beautiful and elegant split chronograph in production. If you ask me, the most beautiful Patek movement in the entire lineup. Stunning, beautiful, elegant, charming, sophisticated. I think about this watch every day. Albeit out of my reach. Everyone has to dream. You have THE watch. Just put it on and forget the rest. It is PERFECT!

The strap is very nice but I don’t think it’s a great match for this watch.

5.25mm thick caliber 5950A is pure class, no scratch that it’s 👑 royalty

Strap it up and go. Seriously, a fine and desirable timepiece. M4
