small-luxury-world revisits the Patek Philippe Nautilus Ref. 5711/1A-011 with a silvery-white dial, questioning why this less common variant continues to captivate him despite the blue dial's popularity. He shares personal wrist shots and reflections, inviting the community to consider the white dial's unique appeal and versatility.

I saw both together and the white is just too much in your face for me. The dial detracts from the whole of the watch. The blue dial is to me far more elegant and lets the watch as a whole balance out nicely. The white is just too stark for me, I guess.
Good question for understanding what stands behind this watch. I went for a try with the 5711 and 5726 in white when I was considering the 5712. I remember perfectly well it was very nice ... but less than a blue dial. Tonight, I just spent some time modifying some pictures on Photoshop and I guess I can make a parellel here: when moving the setting sliders, especially contrast or sharpness it is a challenge to find the right balance. You can easily feel when you go for too much contrast as you
Thanks for your nice presentation! But my point of view about the watch didn't change: the white dial in my point of view doesn't work for me. Once, a French guy told me that the dial was looking like a garage door. Since then, I can't remove this idea from my head. ;) Fx
the debate that the blue and black dial are more classy, i can agree with you on that one. But ain't the nautilus already classy enough? This white dial gives it a fresh, young and sparkling caracter. Check it under the sun, and you will see that dials will punch you in the eye :)
You have now ruined the white dial for me... The garage door now comes up whenever I see the watch... :)
