In both cases, I was very excited when they were released but a bit put off when I saw them in the real at the respective Patek novelties trunk show. As for 5320G, it was actually the dial color that irritated me but now I’m starting to really like it. The big plus of this PC certainly is its clean and legible dial. Its dimensions are almost perfect too, IMO. In the case of 5930G, it was the thickness of the case (due to the chrono function) that I disliked. I like the dial very much as well as its diameter. A more sporty WT for sure. I appreciate that Patek wanted to show their technical skills by combining a WT with a chrono but I could certainly live without the chrono. πŸ˜‰ Nevertheless, it’s still a very attractive offering from Patek. What do you think about these two references? Best, V.

About the Patek Philippe Ref. 5320

The Patek Philippe Reference 5320G is a perpetual calendar wristwatch distinguished by its vintage-inspired design elements, particularly the stepped lugs and the syringe-style hands. It represents a contemporary interpretation of classic Patek Philippe perpetual calendars, integrating historical aesthetic cues with modern watchmaking standards. This reference is notable for its clean dial layout and the harmonious integration of its various indications, appealing to collectors who appreciate traditional complications presented with a refined, understated elegance.

The watch features a white gold case, measuring 40mm in diameter and 11.13mm in thickness. It houses the self-winding caliber 324 S Q, visible through a sapphire crystal case back. The movement provides a power reserve of approximately 35-45 hours. The front crystal is made of sapphire, ensuring durability and clarity for the dial, which displays the perpetual calendar functions with precision and legibility.

This reference appeals to collectors seeking a sophisticated perpetual calendar with a distinct vintage character, yet executed with modern reliability. Its white gold construction offers a subtle alternative to more common yellow or rose gold perpetual calendars. The 5320G fits within Patek Philippe's grand complications lineup, offering a blend of technical mastery and design heritage that resonates with enthusiasts of classic horology.

Hi Pretty Boy, I prefer the...

5320 because it is so well designed ! The WT chrono with a 30 minutes counter is not functional to me. Would love to see the 5320 in the metal.

Volker you are on a roll!!

I very much like the 5320G. I love the legibility and the syringe hands. I may take a trip to my AD and try it on. It would be very tempting. Nothing beats your enameled World time. Happy Friday and HAGWE C.

Not yet, they are only on the shortlist. πŸ˜‰

I’m also considering something completely different: 5088P. In any event, I will not rush into a decision given that I just collected 5231J. HAGWE too, Constantine.

I would like to add a platinum piece to my collection

Currently I am considering the 5031P or 5110P if I can find complete mint sets. Otherwise I will buy new. The. I will consider 5320G since it is white metal. I really like the 5237R (Breguet numerals are really nice. Makes the piece more modern)but might be redundant with my 5270R. Lots of choices. Need to get to an AD which means a flight to Philadelphia.
