His post beautifully showcases a vintage reference alongside a modern one, inviting the community to discuss the enduring appeal of classic design and the nuances of Patek Philippe's heritage.
Greetings to all!
I haven't posted for quite a while, but continue to keep track of the happenings on this great site. I thought I'd use some holiday free time to share my two aquisitions for 2012. I have to admit I'm getting somewhat fatigued by the incessant price increases in the industry, and particularly with Patek. Perhaps that is why my eyes and heart were drawn to beauty in its ultimate simplicity this year...

Best wishes to all for a Happy and blessed New Year!
Steve
Very nice.
Love the shape of the PP logo, on the crown of the vintage. 2 beauties, indeed. Best, and Happy NY. Nicolas
They go together like cheese & biscuits. Congratulations, simple by design, but gorgeous in every aspect. Regards Tony
nicer and your right about the price increases it is making people look at older used watches and thats with rolex as well as patek.
You have picked up my 2 favourites Calatravas. I love the rounded crown guard of the 5127, very similar to the one of the 5125. Also the rose gold is for sure a good choice (although I also love the platinum version with black dial as a very elegant dress watch but the look is quite different). And 2526 is of course an excellent choice too. As Nicolas mentions, the PP crown is a small detail which ads really a lot to the beauty of this watch. Congrats, definitely the choice of a refined Patek lo
