... but there's something about the 249! Apart from aesthetics, these two watches wear pretty differently -- the 721 being bigger, bolder, and thicker vs. the 249, which is fairly light and trim.
The 249 is an iconic Radiomir since many years, the 721 can become an icon in the future .... Wait and see !!!
I have the 721 so a bit difficult to be the judge. From pictures and what has been said above the 249 is lighter and skinnier but do you also notice that the bezel diameter is smaller on the 249? From pictures of the originals (3646) I have the impression that the bezel on the 721 is too big and should have been more like the 249. Regars, Johnny.
But the 249 dial is smaller, plus it has a chapter ring. So more of the top case can be seen on the 249, which provides a nice vintage look, as opposed to the bigger, bolder look of the 721.
nice comparison picture, and indeed the 249 looks a bit more like the original ones with more case material outside of the bezel.
249 is an excellent reference to own !
