Bruno.M1 initiates a crucial discussion for Panerai collectors, delving into the production and delivery specifics of the highly anticipated PAM05218. His detailed observations regarding serial numbers and anticipated production years offer invaluable insights into Panerai's allocation strategy for this reference. This thread serves as an essential resource for understanding the market dynamics and availability of new Panerai releases.
Well, you understand the concept. Who already owns a PAM05218? Please reply in this thread, and a photo is always welcome.
Our moderator, who by now has roughly 1,375,648,985 posts, estimated it at a 6 to 7. Out of pure curiosity, I’d like to know whether yours is an AB series or already an AC. Logically, it should be an AB, since those letters correspond to watches made in 2025, while AC would indicate 2026 production.
To my surprise, mine already has an AC serial, meaning it would effectively be a model produced for 2026. I can therefore already tell you that they will make another 500 pieces in 2026, as mine is numbered 0xx/500. I do fear, however, that there will be no deliveries for quite some time, because it would be rather crazy if they were to start with AD (2027) already.
Most likely, all of 2025 production has already been delivered, and they started on the 2026 batch in December 2025, perhaps to give a few extra collectors something nice to put under the Christmas tree. But either way… given that they are already well into production for 2026, and 2027 would be downright ridiculous, I’m afraid we won’t see deliveries for quite a long time.
My boutique received just one piece and was told by Panerai that the next one would only arrive in 2028. 2028?? That means two pieces over 2–3 years, which is extremely little for an official Panerai boutique. Another source (though probably not very reliable) mentioned that this reference would only be produced for three years.
As I said, I’m more or less forced by Nicolas to make this post.
