Nicolas (amanico) explores his unexpected intrigue with green-dialed Panerai models, specifically the PAM 995 and PAM 997. His post delves into the design choices and technical specifications that make these references stand out, prompting a community discussion on case sizes, movement types, and the appeal of a green dial in the Panerai lineup. This article synthesizes collector perspectives on these distinctive models.

I donβt think u will get bored of the green dial. It just great. Doomed glas , gold hands, white text , second , thin case. More interesting than the 997. 997 is still wearable . Feels like a 47...
as in today's wear: I think the green dial works better against the steel and with the simple layout of the 995, than on the 997 or 998, but that's just me.
Also just noticed the gilded hands on the 995, which seem to work particularly well against the green (as opposed to the black on the 997).
The 45mm would be probably the maximum that I could wear with grace and dignity.
Still kicking myself for passing it.
Need to pay above retail in used market now. Donβt wanna do that. π€£
