... taken during past lazy Sunday.

The dial of this Pam is just awesome! I love this model so much!

The original taken as base of this watch is a rather controversial piece but in any case I loved since the instant I viewed it in a classic book about Panerai some years ago.

I said to myself: I wish Panerai will offer a watch like this some day!!

And it seems Panerai listened my words!

So I put an order for mine the same day I read about its launching!

Have a nice day friends!
Cheers! Abel

About the Panerai Radiomir Ref. 687

The Radiomir reference 687 is a distinctive offering within the Radiomir collection, notable for its specific dial configuration and case execution. It presents a different aesthetic compared to its close counterpart, the 685, appealing to collectors who appreciate subtle variations in vintage-inspired designs. This reference emphasizes a particular historical dial interpretation, distinguishing it from other Radiomir models that might feature different numeral layouts or finishes. It represents a specific stylistic choice within the broader Radiomir lineage.

The watch features a polished steel case, measuring 47mm in diameter, which is characteristic of the larger Radiomir cases. Powering the timepiece is the manual-wind P.3000 caliber, offering a substantial power reserve of three days. The crystal protecting the dial is made of Plexiglas, a material choice that further enhances its vintage appeal. The case design maintains the classic Radiomir wire lugs and cushion shape, consistent with the model's heritage.

For collectors, the 687 holds interest due to its specific dial color, often referred to as a tropical or faded brown, which provides a unique character. Its manual-wind movement and large case size align with traditional Panerai design principles, making it a desirable piece for those who value historical accuracy and a strong wrist presence. The preference between the 687 and its sibling, the 685, often comes down to individual aesthetic taste regarding dial execution.

Thank you so much dear Alkiro! Yes, the dial is truly something here. The bezel is part of the personality too, and I like so much, but I know ...

... it is not approved by many observers of this watch. All the best my friend! Always a pleasure to participate here! Abel.

You’re right about the bezel. Yes, Paneristi maybe don’t like this one but the main thing is that you love it (and me too 😋)

Best wishes Alkiro

Glad you also like it dear friend! Panerai is a very special watch: you just love or hate it! Lol!! It is the only Big Size watch I really like (...ok, may be the IWC Big Pilot is another exception)...

... but I guess it is so as size is part of their DNA. Otherwise I prefer to stay around the 36/40 mm size for my watches. Thank you again my friend! Abel

You have a head start on all of us with the Brute 😁

From my side, I think I like Panerai models that Paneristi hate 😋 Same for me regarding the size. Between 36mm and 40mm it’s perfect for my wrist. Best wishes Alkiro

Ahh yes! The Brute is the biggest Panerai of all!! Not a practical wristwatch of course... But I´m a collector!! Lol! Glad to know we share same sized watches. Let´s say it is a classic ...

... size! All the best my friend! Abel
