For me personally one of the reason I would consider the 422, thought may not be as pure as the ones you mention, is that while I prefer the simplicity of the dial for the 521, …

I am not a big fan of the wire lug after owning one and much prefer the case of the 662 or the 372 and hence the 422, if one’s wishes to have the small second on the dial!
