About the Panerai Ref. 673

The Panerai Radiomir 1940 3 Days Marina Militare Acciaio, reference PAM00673, is a special edition that pays homage to historical Panerai designs. This model is distinguished by its "Marina Militare" designation on the dial, a feature that connects it to the brand's origins. It represents a specific aesthetic within the Radiomir 1940 collection, characterized by its robust case construction and historical dial typography, appealing to collectors who appreciate vintage-inspired pieces with modern manufacturing. The watch was produced in a limited series, adding to its collectibility.

This reference features a 47mm case crafted from polished stainless steel, maintaining the substantial wrist presence characteristic of Panerai. The watch is powered by the in-house P.3000 manual-winding mechanical caliber, which offers a power reserve of three days. A sapphire crystal protects the black sandwich dial, which features luminous Arabic numerals and hour markers. The caseback is transparent, allowing a view of the movement.

For collectors, the PAM00673 holds appeal due to its limited production and its direct link to Panerai's historical identity through the "Marina Militare" inscription. Its large case size and manual-wind movement align with traditional Panerai characteristics, making it a desirable piece for enthusiasts of the brand's heritage. The combination of a classic design with a modern in-house movement positions it as a significant model within the contemporary Radiomir 1940 series.

Richemont recently offloaded Baume et Mercier, will probably offload JLC soon and may very well look to offload both Panerai and wait for it....Roger Dubois. I think they will turn their focus to Cartier, Van Cleef and other jewelry brands since those seem to be cash cows right now. The only watch only brands I think they will keep long term are Vacheron and IWC for a lot of reasons. I am no fan of any large conglomerate be it Swatch Group or Richemont (although both saved a few watch brands fro

I thought the recent release of the 5218 and various other new models were being well received and reigniting the passion for Panerai watches seems I was wrong. These numbers really do not make for happy reading declining by nearly a third in sales and revenue is nothing short of a disaster. Marc

Somehow I do not see them hanging on to those long term either.

It’s a good move to hv 5218 … However the big issue with a lot of watches is the pricing beyond the middle class reach … The inflation last 3 yrs are killing the spending power, couple with crazy pricing on watches nowadays… With secondary market pricing dropping … ppl are only after few brands that they perceive sustaining value … Very unhealthy industry 2025 reports shown 3-4 brands dominated 3/4 of the industry profit

just maybe, they should have found and M.D. that actually liked Panerai, in the first place. Instead, they got swanky boys chasing after Happy Hours and Sailors My opinion of course. My 673- 0001/1000 will stay with me in perpetuity
