Subexplorer shares his unique souvenir from the Panerai Boutique Miami: a 65mm desk clock featuring the P5000 8-day movement. This post highlights the rarely seen desk clock, available with three distinct dials, and its charming connection to Panerai's deep-sea diving heritage.

... to Hugo the Deep Sea Diver at the Panerai Boutique Miami.

This is a rarely seen piece from Panerai but a charming one I feel.

It is a 65 mm desk clock with the P5000 8 days movement inside.

There are three dials to choose: the classic 12-3-6-9, the SLC and the one I purchased the Cali which I liked as it is among the first used by Panerai and also has a minutes rail.

Here I show it together with my latest additions to my collection of helmet divers statuettes .

I wish some day Panerai will offer its own statuette of Hugo their friendly deep sea diver to add to my collection!!

Cheers! Abel

Does the dial have the filled indices like the true CALIFORNIA dials? Is the numerals filled with Lume? Best, Darron

... indexes are luminous on the three models (dials) On my Cali dial indexes are painted on dial. In the SLC and standard dials dial is sandwich. Cheers! Abel

... Hugo belongs to the Boutique! I’d love to own it!! I own a Siebe & Gorman helmet though. But it remsins at home. I was told all boutiques around the world got their diver. It eas named Hugo by Mr Bonatti himself! I also collect figurines of helmet divers which left at home. These are the latest additions. Cheers! Abel

my friend. One doesn't get to see this beauty very often. I didn't even know you could choose the dial. I've seen a "normal" one in the boutique in Florence and I have to say I liked it quite a bit. Congratulation for the purchase and I know you WILL enjoy it....too much.. LOLLL Ciao bello
