MTR's recent visit to the historic Panerai boutique in Florence offers a rare glimpse into the brand's heritage and customer experience. His detailed account, complete with personal photographs, highlights the unique atmosphere of the boutique and the dedicated staff who bring the Panerai story to life. This post is particularly valuable for understanding the brand's evolving strategy to balance purist appeal with market expansion, as discussed with boutique manager Paola.

Of course, although I had my Rolex Day Date 40 with me this time, I couldn't walk past the legendary boutique in Firenze without going into the shop.

Shop manager Paola looked after me charmingly and then privately guided me through the small, fine Panerai Museum.

Please forgive the photo quality, but the lighting conditions were not particularly good. In addition, my hands trembled when I looked at some of the gems.

We also had a very interesting discussion about Panerai's development (in-house/not in-house movements, vertical integration, "honesty" in marketing etc.).

Paola was very confident that in the future Panerai would be able to serve die-hard purists and also open up the market for new customers. I'm very excited and looking forward to it.

And again this 670 … laughed at me. Not something for purists, I know. But she has something. She keeps talking to me.

On Monday I'm invited to the Panerai inauguration event in Milan. Let's see what's there. β˜ΊοΈπŸ™

All the best
Thomas

Thanks for sharing

The straps are as tasty as the watches! Would be great to get some pure hardcore models for a change, in the meantime I'm quietly enjoying my 25:

Love watches and straps ! Wish could see Pam 21 there.

In the meantime humble 232 says hello

Thanks for reading, Ajas!

Your PAM 21 is a stunner! Greetings from my 127 (back in still cold and rainy Vienna).

Oh no I wish it was 21. It is just smaller brother 232. 127 is stunner!

I wanted to write: your 232 is a stunner. I am still full of the Firenze impressions. Hahahahaha
