Sergio's recent post about his Panerai 009 Pre-A reminds us that some timepieces, despite the passage of time, retain their allure and significance. His decision to bring this iconic reference out of the safe highlights the enduring appeal of early Panerai models and the personal connection collectors form with their watches. This article explores the unique charm of the 009 Pre-A through Sergio's experience and the community's appreciation.

Regardless of how βadvancedβ we are in the watch world today I sometimes still find myself appreciating a simpler watch like an old school PAM. Thanks for sharing these photos, love it. Best Gatsby
Summer is almost over! Gotta wear it soon!
I kept my eyes "peeled" for a 009Pre-A for a long, long time. I finally saw this one, years later, and bought it in a "New York minute" Same goes with the 002Pre-A.The only model I have truly waited and waited and waited for, was the Logo NM. I had a "tweener" but it wasn't enough
I've been after a 9 for years...Lolllllllllllllllllll
LOL! Still, you have one, despite the length of the pursuit (which is always the good bit), Out of the safe and wear the hell out of it π
and I don't use a watch daily anymore I've had the 604 firenze and the 5218-201A NM for quite a while. I'm thinking, put the 2 I have back in the box and take; 002,009,375, 373....and keep them for a bit....maybe late this week, early next one
