Emmanuel, known as quattro on WatchProSite, introduces a captivating exploration of vintage Omega chronographs featuring distinctive angular lugs. His meticulous compilation of four rare examples, each powered by the revered Caliber 321 or its ancestor, sheds light on a lesser-known facet of Omega's horological heritage. This article highlights why these specific references, often overlooked, deserve a prominent place in the discourse of vintage watch collecting.

While browsing the internet, I discovered this Omega vintage Chronograph that I'd never seen before.

Not only does it have beautiful angular lugs, but it's also powered by the caliber 321 or its ancestor.

Here are four examples.

EXAMPLE NO. 1

34 mm pink gold case. Manufactured in 1947-1948

The watch is presented as "equipped with the 27 caliber, ancestor of the 321"

EXAMPLE NO. 2

35 x 45 mm yellow gold case from 1947

The watch is presented as ref. 2550

The caliber is presented as Cal. 321 based on Lemania 27Ch C12

These 34mm Omegas with the 321 are amazing on the wrist. I've got a steel pretty beat up Seamaster on a bracelet that I bring out in the summer, but it's not as luxurious as these. That first one with the patina and the buckle -- oh la la...

these watches are hardly ever mentioned. As far as I've seen, they've never been displayed on our site! It's surprising for me. Best, Emmanuel

But of course, they would need to be seen in person.
