Cpt Scarlet's original post ignited a lively discussion on the newly launched Omega Speedmaster 'White' dial. This article delves into the community's initial reactions, detailed observations, and comparisons to previous white-dial Speedmaster iterations, offering a comprehensive look at what makes this release noteworthy for collectors and enthusiasts alike.

The Speedmaster Professional reference 310.30.42.50.04.001 is a variant within the contemporary Moonwatch collection, distinguished by its white dial. This particular configuration offers an alternative aesthetic to the more commonly seen black dial versions, providing collectors with a distinct visual option while retaining the core technical specifications of the current production Professional series. It represents a modern interpretation of the model's established design language.
This timepiece features a 42 mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 13.18 mm, housing the manual-winding Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861. The movement provides a power reserve of 50 hours. The watch is fitted with a domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal on the front and a sapphire crystal on the caseback, allowing for observation of the movement.
This reference appeals to collectors seeking a Speedmaster Professional with a unique dial color that stands apart from the traditional black dial. Its introduction expanded the visual diversity of the Moonwatch lineup, offering a fresh perspective on a well-established design. It maintains the technical upgrades of the 3861 caliber, making it a relevant piece for contemporary collecting.

If I didn't get a white dial exp2 last week I'd definitely consider this instead.
Comparing to other white dial versions, this appears to be a bright white vs silver or cream. I like the bolder text on the sundials and the splash of red and ?orange on the seconds brings in other variations we've seen.
I need to see it live in person.
A watch for poseurs then :P
