......A Speedy!
I received my grail watch, the Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch (hesalite crystal) on October 8. I have researched and saved for this watch for many years and I was very happy to take possession of it last week.
For the past week, I have enjoyed wearing it and experimenting with the chronograph. I have timed trips to several local destinations and I also calculated the average speed for those trips. It was quite fun. I also created a spreadsheet to calculate the average speed for trips, using the Speedy’s chronograph. It can be used on an iPhone and I would be happy to share it for those who are interested.
Winding the watch every morning is a pleasure and has a buttery smooth feeling. The chronograph buttons are also very easy to use.
After a week, the Speedy is
running at 3.5 seconds per day. I can’t complain about that.
I opted to purchase Omega’s glide lock clasp, since I have a 6.5 inch wrist. It works quite well, especially in the humid climate that I live in.
Well, I think I have said enough. The Speedmaster is a great watch and lives up to its reputation and more.
