. . . drove the better part of two hours to the Omega boutique to photograph . . .

. . . the new black lacquer Aqua Terras.  Unfortunately the images didn't turn out as well as hoped for; I'll have to make a return trip for a second try.

I tried the compact version on and immediately taken.  The flanks of the case are polished, unlike most other Aqua Terras; my preference is for at least some case brushing, but I guess the lacquer dial steered the design team towards a fully polished case.  The watch comes off as a touch dressier than the average AT, but I could live with that.

Thanks to Raymond and his team at the boutique for helping out with photography and their hospitality.

Impressed,

Art

That was fast! Enjoy your new AT! I’m thinking you’ll probably change that out to some strap at some point.. to dial down the polish :-)

You're a mind reader, Echi! . . .

. . . yup, a matte black cayman or gator would be just the ticket. ETA: March '25, after my credit card gets zeroed out from paying off Stones tickets.

If Omega doesn't release either a manual Rail or Ranchero next year . . .

. . . then chances are looking good. I like it a lot. ;-)

Looks very nice, with this laquared dial.

My only criticism are the polished parts of the bracelet. An all brushed one would have been my choice, but this detail is not a major issue. A character watch! 👍
