Hello friends!

Just a couple of days ago this beautiful Flightmaster ref 145.013 (610)  from the 1970´s finally arrived to my hands (wrist!). I decided to call it "Friendship" as the famous John Glenn´s spacecraft.

Our dear friend Art has posted the detailed and complete story of this watch a few months ago. (I will kindly ask him if he can link that post in this thread).

The arrival of this watch to my collection was aboslutely possible thanks to Art and all the time, efforts and passion he invested to what he called "our Flightmaster project". It was a work of love and Friendship.

This watch was discovered several months ago by Art in the web page of a German dealer and he remembered I had written I was hunting for a FM and mailed me with the news. The watch was complete set and in NOS condition.

It looked like an easy deal but it was not an easy journey to go through... specially for Art who took the time, work and efforts to have the watch sent to him, have it serviced, search for some spare parts, deal with his watchmaker and parts dealers, etc. till the watch was cleaned, oiled and functioning perfectly as when it left the factory 50 years ago. (he even resorted to his hand painting skills to restore the color of one crown!)

This watch covered about 11.000 miles from Germany to California, California to Miami, and Miami to Buenos Aires till it safely landed in my home.

I feel the watch deserves to be called "Friendship" because there is no way to make this possible if you are not a good friend and a passionate for Omega like Art.

I´m sharing some pictures which show this beauty. This is a timepiece which will always have a very special value for me. A keeper for life!

Can´t find enough words to thank you Art! I´m enjoying it so much!

All the best, Abel
