Excited to share the first of my two new arrivals: the Nivada Grenchen Chronograph Valjoux 23 Broad Arrow – Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver (CASD) in matte black:

I stumbled across the announcement on Instagram back on May 29th and even posted about it:

I immediately knew it was something special. This was a limited release of just 25 pieces, each powered by NOS Valjoux 23 movements:

They also released 25 with an aventurine dial and world time bezel, but for me the Broad Arrow was the clear choice:

Given my love for vintage-inspired reissues—especially those rooted in dive and pilot history—it was a no-brainer. I pulled the trigger that same day:

Of course, it showed up while I was away on a client engagement in Soda Springs, ID—so I had to wait a bit before unboxing. Worth it.

The packaging is identical to my Antarctic from last year, and the watch itself hits all the right vintage notes:

38mm case with a thickness of 12.95mm
Drilled lugs for easy strap changes
Valjoux 23 beating at 18,000 vph with a 48-hour reserve
Brown perforated leather strap that suits it perfectly

And of course, the mandatory latte art / wrist shot - you knew this was coming!😆
