ThomasM's post captures the rare excitement a new car model can generate, even for a seasoned enthusiast. He introduces a vehicle that challenges the established hierarchy of performance cars like the Aventador and Veyron, not just in raw power but in its ability to excel across multiple driving scenarios without compromise. This discussion explores what makes a car truly exceptional beyond headline-grabbing specifications.
I am completely dumbfounded how good this car this. In the past 3 years, only ONE current, modern production car has gotten my blood racing and given me the itch to pull out the pocketbook - the Porsche GT3RS. As impressive as the current Lambos, Ferraris, McLarens, AMGs, M Cars are, they just didn't tick all the boxes for me.
Well, the GT3RS now has company.
Multi-task cars have been around for a very long time. While some come very close to adequately fulfilling all the possible uses - daily driver, weekend cruiser, canyon carver, track DE tool, grocery runner, VIP and occasional Home Depot hauler - in all cases excuses and compromises need to be made.
"Smooth enough and reliable enough, it could be a daily driver..."
"Performance is good enough to get the blood circulating..."
"Enough room to make the occasional CostCo run..."
Well, finally, a car that needs no excuses, in any mode...
More, much more, to come soon...
.. something RS ??? Come on Thomas, bloody teaser !!!! :-)
Has tweeters similar to the B&O that AM uses, leads me to think it may be a Audi. Looks like a lot of CF. I will be searching the internet all night trying to figure this one out. JerryW
Now I do not need to stay up all night looking for it. JerryW
the way the mirror is attached to the car. Still have to drive an RS of any kind, so probably the next thing to do :-) Best regards, Dirk
Except that B.O works with Audi. The speaker is superb!!! Best, Nicolas
Must be impressive for a car to multi-task and to do them all well. Looking forward to the review and driving impressions. Regards, ED-209
