KMII's detailed photo essay offers a compelling look into the 'Nationales Automuseum - The Loh Collection,' a must-visit for automotive enthusiasts. His post, delayed since the museum's opening, provides a valuable first-hand account of this significant private collection. KMII highlights the museum's impressive array of vehicles, particularly its strong focus on Bugatti, and shares practical insights for those planning a trip to this German automotive treasure.

How time flies - been there at the opening in summer last year but didn’t get around to posting pictures of it so far 🤦🏻‍♂️

Nationales Automuseum- the Loh Collection is a part of the private collection of German industrialist Friedhelm Loh, accumulated since the 1980s. One of the world’s prime collectors of Bugatti, his collection has expanded over time to various areas and themes and finally he decided to make it more broadly accessible in the form of a museum.

Located in Dietzhölztal about an hour’s drive away from Frankfurt, it’s truly worth a visit, if you find yourself in the area. When I visited there was a LeMans theme but there is a large main collection always on display with some exhibits coming and going.

So here a selection of shots for your enjoyment.

These are pretty much self-explanatory 😄. Yes, I likewise instantly noticed the DB4 on the elevator in the last picture....

Let me know if you plan to do it - not that inordinately far away from where I live 😉👍🏻
