This time not a Villeret (can't afford to buy 2 Villerets 6 months apart!).
This is a watch I started falling in love with when Luis posted his and MTF's thread was resurfaced.
My recent visit to the MB boutique in Singapore in response to Mike's Christmas competition (where we had to take 3 pictures of a Star, NR/Timewalker and Villeret) further pushed me towards buying this watch.

Presenting... my new Montblanc Star Worldtime.
It's a really handsome watch for the price. Movement finishing is nowhere near my MB Villeret of course but hey, it's almost 1/20 the price!
A really good buy for a "worldtime". Granted, it's doesn't work like a real worldtime like the PP or VC worldtime as the cities ring doesn't automatically move but it's very easy to move it via the crown and the worldtime will be valid for the next 1 hour.

I love the fact that everything from the cities ring to the date, time and gmt hand are all adjustable via a single crown mechanism. It feels very sleek and convenient to me.

I really like the dial design and fit / finish of the case, double deployment buckle and strap. Nothing super high end... but very high quality for the price.

Some wrist shots to share. I went back and forth between the white dial (love the blued steel hands and easy readability) vs the black dial (harder to read the time but I really love the black dial!!). The dark side in me chose the black dial in the end.

Now I have a Le Locle assembled MB  to compliment my MB Villeret.
This will also be my travel watch for biz trips from now on (I will feel much safer with this than my other watches).

Hope you enjoy the pics (as usual... from my cell phone). smile

Cheers

Thank you Nicolas my friend

You are always the first or one of the first to congratulate all of us Purists here. :) I did tell you I was looking for a jlc and I was hoping for a reverso as it's more iconic but somehow they don't speak to me... my quest for a jlc will continue though. Thanks for looking at my post. Have a great weekend! Cheers Robin

Thanks Luis!

Now we have brother watches haha. The light side and the dark side of Montblanc Star Worldtime. Thanks for all your pictures and posts on the watch. You inspired me to look into this piece which I didn't even notice in the past when I visited MB boutiques or dealers. Cheers Robin
