Penfriend's two-month ownership review of a unique Montblanc timepiece offers a compelling look at a watch designed for both aesthetic pleasure and practical wear. His insights highlight how Montblanc has addressed common collector desires, particularly regarding movement visibility and the everyday wearability of luxury watches. This article explores the distinctive features that make this Montblanc a standout in his collection.

If we are all honest, and I also mean the real 'purists' here that would perhaps think this is too 'up front' (pun), this is the kind of watch and especially the kind of caliber where we all say things like 'show us the sapphire back' or 'wish we could wear the watch upside down'... now this is exactly what Montblanc enabled here and nobody can complain. It's just a joy to not necessarily read the time but to optically dwell in the caliber parts Cheers, Alex
The “aged” finishing of the case is very interesting and new to me, but I like it. Great choice.
That's just the kind of skeleton I like, not pretentious or over-worked
With the skeleton sides of the case
But nicely done and with some advantages as described
And exactly what I feel about this movement
