The Montblanc 1858 Split Second Chronograph is a masterpiece of modern horology, celebrated for its intricate rattrapante complication and distinctive blue dial. In this feature, jp884 explores how a simple strap change can dramatically alter a watch's aesthetic, inviting collectors to consider the impact of color and texture on showcasing a timepiece's inherent beauty. His experimentation with an olive green suede strap aims to highlight the dial, prompting a discussion on personalizing high-complication watches.

What a properly 'moody' combo with such rich yet toned-down colors........
Felt like it had too much blue going on before. But the forest green almost makes it look a bit rugged, which I like.
However this combo does not work for me. I would try beige. Nice Elvis 😉
Maybe I should have one made though.
Here is a blue dial green strap i had tried which i enjoyed a few months back...So i think it can work but may not be for everyone licking. On yours i must say I could not resist an orange strap, a baby blue strap, and also a dark blue with orange stitching strap
In the day it looks much nicer, I might order an orange strap for the summer Nice GS BTW.
