Friends, before I get back to another Novelty review tomorrow (stay tuned), let's share two fresh shots of my Mimo WW2 Military watch issued to the German army. Girard-Perregaux or Mimo do not have a large background on military watches, so this is quite an unusual one within the historic collection

Girard-Perregaux or Mimo do not have a large background on military watches, so this is quite an unusual one within the historic collection.


It is a less known fact that Girard-Perregaux was one of the first that supplied a wrist watch to the German emperor's army, but that is a subject for another time.

Yes,, they do come up quite regular, but often in poor / very poor condition [nt]

Do you have more information about GP being a supplier to the German emperor's army up to the end of WWI when the emperor abdicated?
