The watch of the day? The Mido Powerwind Ocean Star. A colorful star, in a colorful place.

Isn't it a very good summer companion? With its decompression scale, it is perfect. It only lacks water resistance, to enjoy a swim with it on my wrist. But it is the problem of most of our beloved vintage watches...

Best,

I was going to take my “new” dive watch with me on vacation but realized I had to manually wind it and turn it over 14 days. I left it home. And took my titanium Seiko Samurai instead.

They are instantly recognizable - arm fully extended out front, full lower arm in frame, photo shot from eye view. They always remind me of those first-person video game Shoot ‘em Ups like “DOOM” where you always see the fully outstretched lower arm holding the weapon of choice. If anyone ever decides to make a horology-themed shoot em up video game, you’re going to be the model! 😀
