Introducing the Mercedes-Benz G580 with EQ Technology.

Some quick stats...

580 horsepower.
879 pound feet of torque (that's around 1200 newton meters of torque)
4 motors
Each wheel has its own motor and each motor has a two speed gearbox.
True torque vectoring.  True off-road capabilities.  Deeper fording depth than petrol/diesel G Class vehicles.
Range: around 240 miles (EPA Standards) or around 470 kilometers (WLTP Standards).
Battery size: around 116 kwh.  Don't know if this is nominal or usable.
0-60 mph acceleration around 4.6 seconds
Price tag: around $180,000 USD starting price.  Bloomberg reports a $150,000 USD starting price.  I like Bloomberg much more for bringing me better news!

Also the grumble and pops of the V8 are gone. This is a big no thank you from me.

Because they drink so much petrol, the range isn't great - so this battery version is about the same. The big issue here is that with a petrol car, I can refill it - and there is likely a gas station somewhere not too far from the wilderness. There's not likely a recharging station that close to the wilderness...

I think we need to hire a bunch of hamsters to run on a wheel to generate some electricity for the car!

With a petrol powered SUV, I can put cans of petrol in the back. But how do I put cans of "electric juice" in the back? Oh! I know, I bring a generator and cans of petrol. Voila!
