I got some new toy in the shop this week.

So I start to find out how it works on my Benz.

So I start to drain the gas.

And oil.

I have some new parts that I will change. The compressor is very noisy so I have a new one in a drawer.

Hmm, there's not much room.

It's like CSI, with the UV light you see tracer.

The new one in place.

And a new fan belt.

Then I need to locate the receiver drier and I have to remove the headlamp.

There it it and it looks no fun at all.

But shame on giving up. A new receiver drier with new pressure switches.

And there it's in place.

Now I'm ready to fill it up. So I have to choose brand.

Model.

And then I have to wait 34 minutes while evacuate.

Then it fill it up with gas.

After that it will check the pressures.

Now I'm ready to test if it works and the temperature is 36 degree celisius ( 96 fahrenheit )

- 1,5 degree celsius ( 29 fahrenheit ) it's not bad IMHO.

Yes it's a AC service station it's made it as it should be done. Drain gas, oil and check the system before it add new oil and gas. So it's not for the cowboy mechanics that only add new gas and oil and don't have a clue what is inside the system. :-) :-)

Cowboy mechanics. Here, we call them "game boy" mechanics since many mechanics here are in such the digital age that they don't really know what they're doing but following a computer's direction. This is a generalization, but there is some sort of truth to the exaggerated idea.

When you work today , for example, with AC facilities so you have to be trained and certified to operate this type of equipment . It is not only about understanding how things work , but it also includes a management of gas. The training also includes a deepening of the EU Directives relating to rules on fluorinated greenhouse gases. How to buy small bottles of gas on the internet and fill the system with completely no control ought not be allowed. I would guess that this will be forbidden in th
