The highlight of the evening for me was this demonstration of the allure of modern technology. Despite the fact that the lovely Patek was on the table, when a camera SD card was plugged into the iPad3 with 'real time' images of the movement, everyone wanted to see.
And of course we always open a WatchBand meeting with a reading from scripture:

Thanks Sancerre, There has been a little iPad discussion over on TimeOut: iPost1 ... iPost2 ... iPost3 ... The USB and SD card adaptors are sold as a set from Apple and allow you to transfer images from memory devices. There is an accessories list, including outputs for data projectors, that you can add when you order on line. Andrew
from the photos on the iPad, and admire the actual watches. But I did, and took a couple more pictures. There were a few new watches last night, some brand new, some with a few more years on the clock, that we just hadn't seen before. JLC Deep Sea Alarm, European edition. The 'racing dial' Omega Geneve Dynamic - 2nd version, cal 1022 if I'm not mistaken. Nice condition. Edox automatic. Omega Seamaster Calendar, cal 503, over 50 years young. A (strapless) Dornbluth. I've not handled one of these
