Nicolas (amanico) introduces the Matra Murena, a distinctive French sports car from the early 1980s. His post highlights the car's unique three-seat configuration and its performance specifications, inviting enthusiasts to appreciate this often-overlooked automotive curiosity. This article synthesizes community insights, adding depth to Nicolas's initial presentation of the Murena's design and heritage.

It was produced for three years, from 1980 to 1983, with two 4 cylinders engines, 1.6 or 2.2, 90  to 142 HP for a one ton weight....

The curiosity? Three seats!

The Three Seats:

It was not very powerful, but 210 Km/h and 8,4 secs for the 0 to 100 Km/h ( 2, 2 ), at that time, that was not too bad.

Best,

Nicolas

But depending on the driver, sitting in the middle seat would be uncomfortable or fun 😄
