Nicolas (amanico) presents a captivating visual comparison of the Maserati 3500 GT Spider and Coupé, inviting readers to appreciate the distinct aesthetics of these classic Italian grand tourers. His post highlights the allure of 1960s automotive design and performance, prompting a lively discussion among enthusiasts about which body style reigns supreme. This article delves into the community's perspectives, offering insights into the nuances that define these iconic Maserati models.

From 1962. When 220 HP was enough to get some strong sensations...  300 km/h on the speedometer certainly was a bit optimistic. 10, 000 revs, that sounds promising!

Not a bad looking car at all, I must say... Till you know the Coupé. Which, in my opinion, is purer, as it is most often the case:

Spider or Coupé for you?

It should probably flat out before hitting 7k….Nonetheless a beautiful car. Coupe for me as I like my hair neat.

I’m almost always a coupe guy, but I think the spyder looks cleaner here. Maybe it’s the latter version’s lack of intakes behind the front wheels. It’s close, but, gun to my head, I vote spyder.

If they had kept everything else about the body identical to the spyder, only adding the top, I'd probably prefer the coupe.

Although the original factory-bodied spyder is certainly beautiful, I think this re-bodied custom is spectacular.

I have no idea if the seller's comments about it being custom are correct but I've never seen another like it. Seller claims it was re-bodied in the '70s. Here's a link to when it was for sale:
