KMII's recent forum post, 'Trying out the train…', offers a relatable account of modern travel frustrations, but it's the horological companion on his wrist that truly captivates. His Habring2 Chronofelix Top Seconds, a piece often worn by his wife, provides a unique lens through which to view the journey. This article delves into KMII's experience and the distinctive features of this independent timepiece, enriched by community insights.

Our member CFN regularly posts from his train journeys and as I haven’t tried one for a while decided to give it a go. Based on the experience it’s rather worsened than improved in this country.

At the end of the day, all but the first connection was missed and the final destination reached 1,5 hours after originally planned time. First world problems but very unfortunate, given the potential and the reality in other places.

On the wrist was the Habring2 Chronofelix Top Seconds with its beating heart - made it easier, somehow…

I’m believe I would have enjoyed a ride in the TGV more, though

As the watch has no running seconds, the pulsating red dot tells you that it’s wound and running. Ours is unique in that they made it a heart instead of a round dot. Primarily worn by my wife but I do get to sneak in on occasion

What is the red indicator in the 9, day/night indicator?

I remeber seeing this one previously in one of your posts. What's the size? Looks great!

As there is no running seconds hand the pulsating red dot - or here heart - tells you that it’s wound and running.

But much more often, especially as it runs on a separate rail system, not shared with regular passenger and cargo trains.
