Dear watch community,

As we are heading to Christmas celebrations, my best wishes to you all and your beloved ones.

It took me a while to post this call for advice.

Quite happy with my watch collecting journey, which started with Cartier, Tudor, GS/Credor and Rolex, to end up now with AP / VC and LUC, no more Rolex to date.

Good relationships built-up with ADs and I am now offered a few nice pieces, but have to make the right call for the right watch to celebrate my 55th birthday soon. Not sure I'll sustain that level of spending on watches in the long run, so I want to choose wisely;

The choice would consider : timeless iconic design, weareability, value retention (a minimum at these price points) and fit with a lifestyle mixing corporate job reponsibility, fun, automobile and that little thing that makes the difference... smile

Here are the contenders, for your constructive advice :

Thanks for taking a look.

Not an easy task...

...as you couldn't have chosen three more different watches (representing three different TYPE of watches). I can only say that i don't like that AP.

Clear position, thanks!

If I may read your mind, I would say 16202 is way better, and I do like it

I would vote n2, just because of the versatility it allows

N3 is not my taste, but taste is each to his own as they say. Enjoy the choice!!

DD 36mm is versatile indeed

I do like the way it hugs the wrist, stay classical and classy

Would you go for a 40 or 36mm?

although my heart tells me 36, probably 40mm is the head's choice. More up to date in terms of a 'good' / right size. Tough one still :-)
